Workdays vs. calendar days
If your range includes weekends, the day count will be higher than your actual workdays. A 14-day period from Monday to Sunday includes 10 workdays and 4 weekend days. Subtract weekends manually if you need only business days.
Converting to work hours
Multiply the day count by your scheduled hours per day. At 8 hours per day, 10 workdays equals 80 hours. At 6 hours per day, 10 workdays equals 60 hours.
Pay period totals
A biweekly pay period covers 14 calendar days, usually 10 workdays. At 8 hours per day, that is 80 hours per pay period. A semi-monthly period covers about 15 days, or roughly 88 hours at 8 hours per day.
Overtime thresholds
